Well it's true we have purchased a video monitor! Yes, we had a wonderful audio monitor that worked very well. HOWEVER Abigail has now reached the age or phase where she rolls over in her sleep onto her tummy and then can't sleep because she is on her tummy! ARGHHHHH!!!!!!
So we got the video Monitor and I must say she is the cutest little sleeper we ever did see! We also now know how she flips over, gets out of her sleeping wrap and tucking genius that we are so sure will hold her! We also now know how her head ends up at the opposite end of the crib with her little feet between the bars and ..... well you get the idea!
It's very entertaining!
Ok quote from the store standing in the line up to buy it....
Random Lady: "Is that a Nanny Cam?" (read shock/distain)
Me: "Ummm sure but most people use them to watch their baby"
Random lady #2: "What do you need to watch? Shouldn't they be sleeping?"
Me: (Stuffing down sarcastic remarks): "Well yes but my child likes to roll onto her tummy and get stuck"
Random Lady #2: (looking at me like I am a bad Mother) "But you are supposed to put them to sleep on their back!"
Internally the following things MAY have gone through my mind:
"Oh REALLY???? No one told me that! Should I also not be wrapping her head in a large fluffy towel before putting her in bed with all her stuffed toys and ever blanket in the house???"
What did I actually say? Well I smiled at the sad confused lady and said "Ummm....Yes you are." and then quickly stepped up to the now available cashier!

apparently Celine Dion has/had one of those suckers in her baby's room. And it fed into a 400 inch (I may be exaggerating) TV located directly above the bed in her bedroom. ...

Oh boy, that is so funny! Try a sleep sac. That helped J who wouldn't stay wrapped either. Love and miss you!!
there is a cure for rollers. it's called a 'safty sleep' and they are from new zealand (ask adele) you can buy them on www.trademe.co.nz and they basically hold a baby in place and don't allow them to roll. i'll email you an example.

my mother pinned me to the matress when i was a baby too.... i think they also called it safety sleep
i guess i turned out ok though.. well minus a few quirks... :)
