Just the facts Ladies and Gentlemen....

Hello wonderful blog readers!

As I know that many of you read Alyn's blog and he IS much better at regular updates on the road so this will be a brief update of the last week or so and perhaps a funny story or two thrown in.....

So... we went to Manchester England from Manchester New England in a flash of packing and flurry of flights and airplane food! Manchester UK was really a great weekend. We did a supernatural weekend with one church and sent them into the streets to prophesy and heal the sick and they did it! So fab! Then we did 2 days with a brethren church which was a) a first and b) really amazing to watch God move! So from a ministry perspective it was great but from an accommodation perspective it was a nightmare! Actually I would have welcomed a nightmare because that would have meant we slept!!! The Hotel we were staying in way really nice with one minor problem..... no air conditioning and Manchester was in a heat wave. Top it off with the fact that all the windows were bolted so you could only open them an inch and you are sleeping in 30.5 degree heat inside! yep, not much sleep that weekend!

We then spent a few days in Edinburgh staying with a friend of ours and saw many more friends at a gathering celebrating Alyn 32nd birthday. (We are having another one in Toronto this week as we were on a plane on his birthday). We got to see Claire & Stuart (Alyn's sister and her fiancé!) for a while one afternoon and got hooked on a British television equivalent of Alias called "Spooks" only it's not as good!

This past weekend we were at Queens Park Baptist and it was incredible! They were so stinking hungry you could cut it with a knife and God totally showed up (which is very helpful I think you will agree). Awesome weekend, great food, air conditioned hotel room. (Mind you we were in Glasgow so there was no air-con required! :-)

And now? We are home finally! We are home this week with the PIH International Leaders conference happening next week (which we are doing stuff at everyday) and then we have a few days off before we head of to Halifax for something called "Fundy Camp" which is a family camp out there that we are teaching at for 4 days and then we are on vacation for August!!!! (can you say run on sentance?) Yippeeee!!!!!!

Pheeee-weeeee! I was so hungry for this post I could cut it up and eat it.

Consider your metaphor stolen for its pure brilliance. Glad you survived the UK -seems like you've been gone for ages.

Roll on August for your sakes.

Oooh and please could we maybe have some photos of Alyn's second birthday in TO? You know I love those blow by blow accounts.

xx
