Well sports fans we are in the thriving metropolis of Taupo population 25,000
Today we had coffee and toast, went into town and had a "flat white" (That's like a latte for us North Americans) and a chicken curry at the Replete Cafe which was very nice. We then proceeded to explore Taupo and check out the local pharmacy, bookstore, and spas before heading out of town to see the Huka falls (pronounced Hooker Falls) and investigated that great kiwi past time of Prawn fishing!
Tomorrow's adventure? Who knows but whatever we do I am sure it will involve seeing beautiful scenery and drinking great coffee....
Lastly this is a picture of the river that runs by Dave and Adele's place (which is absolutely gorgeous BTW). The water is SOOO clear and beautiful that you want to jump in, except for the fact that there are some killer rapids and a falls at the end of course!

That water looks cold.
And dangerous.
I'm living vicariously through your blogs... Don't stay away too long - we miss you!
xo
It does look cold but I think that's just because we are not used to seeing unpolluted water!
It doesn't feel cold but you are right it is very dangerous especially where the shot was taken.
