Operation Rescue Rosemary

Well we have quite the exciting few days her in Jonesville.

Here it is in point form for those of you that subscribe to the "just the facts" view of life. For those that want more detail ... tough... no just kidding I am sure Alyn will give a highly detailed account very soon.

So in a nut shell.....

• Rosemary (Lynleys' Mom) due to arrive in Toronto Sunday evening.


• In LAX while transferring planes Rosemary looses Passport after customs but before boarding Toronto flight


• Rosemary (who is 74 recently recovering from a broken ankle and having significant short term memory loss and some disorientation issues) is given her luggage and headed off to speak with someone


• Side note? LAX is scary for me! Very large very confusing and I travel for a living!


• By the time Stu and Lynley get called and involved her baggage has also been lost in LAX (she was unable to bring her bags down the escalator all at once and thought she would be able to bring one down and then come back up the escalator and bring the other one down but she could not re-enter the secure baggage area {or something like that} to get the second bag so now it's gone)during a heightened security alert


• Airline and S&L arrange to have RM (Rosemary) brought to hotel to sleep


• Monday morning: Alyn drives Stuart to airport, AJ and Alyn move in to Allan household to assist with stress levels and baby


• At airport Stuart receives call from LA Police officer who is currently in possession of Rosemary. (First report was scary which was police found her wandering LA alone and brought her to station. Later report was that she woke up at 4am ish {jet lag anyone} and went for a walk, lost sight of the hotel, went to a cafe for water and assistance, they gave her tea and a muffin and called the police... thankfully not as bad as we first thought


• LA police officer known as Scott takes Mom to airport lost and found where they recover passport (PTL) and then returns her to her hotel where the front desk staff watch that she doesn't wander away again before Stuart arrives


• To make a very long story short: lost of stress for Stu and Lynley thinking about Mom on her own and being so far away, Stu arrives and takes care of Rosemary, Alyn sort out flight and changing tickets to return them home, I get to change some diapers and cuddle the little cutie a lot, Stuart and Mom will arrive tomorrow morning on the redeye from San Francisco.
